A Powerful Read
By Studge
Fr. Larry packs a powerful punch with Surrender. From the start to finish, he challenges the reader to forget oneself and trust completely in Jesus every day in order to know God’s plan for him or her. He teaches the importance of discerning God’s will through use of the sacraments and prayer. He shows how one can recognize whether it is God’s will or one’s own will that is being sought, whether a decision to be made is motivated by the Holy Spirit or by an evil spirit. Fr. Larry challenges the reader to die to oneself every day for love of God and others, but he teaches that this can be accomplished by allowing Jesus to take control. There is so much useful information packed in this book of 155 pages. Fr. Larry pulls no punches and takes no prisoners. I highly recommend this book!

Surrender should be called CHALLENGING
By jmack6971
Fr. Larry provides a simple road map to all of us to surrender our lives to Jesus. The book is filled with everyday advice as to “how” to do it. If we follow the road map and the day to day advice we will surely be able to surrender. The only thing Father cannot provide is the readers cooperation, that has to come from us.His catchy little remiders, “no bible no breakfast no bible no bed”, or “don’t let your feet hit the floor until your knees hit the floor” will ring in your head throughout the day. His style is direct and to the point. It also is funny, thought provoking and extremely challenging.Get a copy for everyone you know. It will be life changing.

Real Happiness
By Elizabeth Gerbracht
Like an evangelist knocking at your door, Father Larry is on the frontsteps of your mind, knocking on your soul–he wants to tell you aboutsurrendering to God, and he explains how. After you’ve read his bookup to the passage that starts at the middle of page 35, if you have grown-up kids you’ll probably have tears in your eyes; I did–not from feelingbad but from understanding. Keep reading; maybe you’ll have moretears but you’ll laugh, too, and you’ll love it. When you get to page 114,take your pen and circle the middle paragraph starting with, “Take fiveminutes…” including the three points; if you do what it says, you’llrealize a great change in you–you’ll also realize what Father Larry isall about. If you don’t want him knocking on your soul, just close thebook–you can’t!
